I Am Me

Henry McElroy (age 12)

I am me and you are you,
That I can say at least is true.
But say I were you, and you were me,
And horses were cows, and birds were bees,
And a cockatoo was a kind of tree,
And I could offer you basketball tea.
Would you have the same mind as you do now,
Or would you have the same mind as me?
